Introduction

Scrum is the most widely used framework in Agile software development worldwide. Although the Scrum framework itself is rather simple to understand, good application is not self-evident in practice. Many run into issues that are not described in the Scrum Guide. Being part of the SCRUM Team is like riding a bike, you cannot learn from a book, you have to just do it. One of the success factors of SCRUM is a well-functioning SCRUM Master who understands the concepts behind the framework and motivates the team to implement SCRUM by learning from their experience and from others in the team.

What do you get?

In this two-day training we go through the Scrum Guide on various aspects of Scrum, naturally with focus on the role of the Scrum Master. We also deal with matters such as team building, motivation and scaling up Scrum. In doing so, we give practical tips and discuss real-life scenarios that help you to become a successful Scrum Master. We will also do a thorough simulation of how Scrum works. Our trainers have extensive experience working as a Scrum Master at various known organisations and therefore have the capability to bring this training live using their personal experiences.

Pre-training assessment

We advice you to study the Scrum Guide prior to attending the training. It is also beneficial to test your prior knowledge with the help of the Scrum Quiz. By doing so, you can self-assess the knowledge you have gained after attending our training or ask for help with the topics that you find challenging.

Post-training assessment

After completing the training you are eligible to take the online and globally recognised Professional Scrum Master level I (PSM I) assessment from Scrum.org.

You can take the assessment at a time and place of your choice.

As a part of the training, we will look at the sample questions to practice for this assessment, in order to prepare you well to pass this exam.

One-time fee for the professional PSM I assessment is included in the training fee.
